EASTER AT ALMYRA
There is a particular light in Paphos during Easter — the kind that flatters long lunches and slow mornings. The sea has cleared. The terraces have opened. The days stretch. This year, Almyra marks both Easters, each with its own programme rooted in the island's culture. What is the same across both: the spirit of the place, the traditions, and the warmth of the team. The details are in the brochures linked below: → Catholic Easter Programme 2026 → Orthodox Easter Programme 2026
ORTHODOX EASTER · HOLY SATURDAY, 11 APRIL
Join us at 22:45 at Almyra lobby for a walk to Panagia Theoskepasti Church — a short walk lit by the candlelight of arriving worshippers. At midnight, the church is plunged into darkness. Then, from a single flame at the altar, light passes through the congregation — candle to candle, row by row — until the whole space is illuminated. The priest's announcement of the Resurrection, Christos Anesti, is the cue for the bells and for the walk back. Mosaics stays open. The Midnight Supper is waiting: live magiritsa, flaounes, tsourekia, local cheeses, and the annual ritual of cracking red hard-boiled eggs to mark the end of the fast. The table runs until 1:30. CATHOLIC EASTER · GOOD FRIDAY, 3 APRIL
In the afternoon, guests are welcome to join an escorted visit to the nearby Church of Ayia Kiriaki for the Passion of Our Lord service — sacred readings, prayers, and the veneration of the cross. Meet at the Almyra lobby at 14:30. Ouzeri opens for lunch on the promenade, serving its Good Friday seafood menu: fish meze, seafood platter, and the seasonal fish-market selection. There is no better table on the waterfront for the occasion, and the rail seats are worth arriving early for. Book your table
FOR YOUNGER GUESTS
On Easter Sunday morning children set out across Almyra's grounds with an Easter Egg and a Photo Challenge sheet. Thirty minutes to explore, complete the tasks, and return with photos to claim a chocolate egg reward. The hunt begins at 11:00 on the Mosaics Terrace. A parent or guardian accompanies younger guests throughout.
Open across both Easter weekends. Age groups from four months to twelve years: the Titans, Griffins, Centaurs, and Tritons each run their own programme. Easter activities include pottery, cooking sessions, arts and crafts, and the mythology-themed games the team bring out each spring. Contact Guest Services on arrival for the full activity schedule. Babysitting available on request.
DISCOVER CYPRUS
Easter weekend in Paphos is its own kind of celebration. The nearby villages — Yeroskipou, Chlorakas, Kissonerga, and Lemba — hold their own Orthodox traditions: outdoor feasts, music, traditional games, and winery tours that travel through historic vineyards. Our team can put together any of these around your stay. Speak to Guest Services to arrange the ideal plan for you. Discover

A VOYA lavender sugar glow begins the treatment — gentle exfoliation, then a warm herbal body mask that settles around you as the botanicals work into the skin. A soothing scalp massage closes the session. The kind of treatment that earns the word quiet.

Sea-inspired and deliberate. A purifying body scrub, a bath ritual, then warm oils applied in wave-like movements that release tension and restore circulation. The longest treatment on the list — and the most grounding.
