The idea

Every summer returns the way the sea does. The same, but always different. It arrives as though for the first time and leaves as though for the last. This year, isnotgallery and Almyra take that rhythm as their subject.

A work of art is made in a single moment, for its own reasons. And yet it reaches past that moment: to stay, to be remembered, to mean something long after it was made. Temporary Forever sits in the space between, where the fleeting and the lasting stop being opposites and become two ways of measuring the same time.

Made to pass.
Made to last.

On Display

Curated by Andros Efstathiou, Temporary Forever brings together seventeen artists working across painting, ceramics, sculpture and photography. Some works are made from materials that will not outlast the summer. Others are cast in metal and stone, or fixed in the permanence of a photograph. Set side by side, they turn the idea behind the exhibition into something you can walk through.

Ten Summers

For ten years, isnotgallery and Almyra have turned the hotel into a gallery for the length of a summer. An exhibition that returns each year with the same reliability as the season itself. Ten summers of art in a place made not for staying, but for returning.

Come and see

The doors open on Saturday 25 July at 20:30, and the exhibition stays with us until 6 September. You will find it at Almyra, on the Paphos seafront, open to guests and to anyone drawn in from the promenade.
